Item description: * Very nice and scarce antique Victorian era gold thimble with rich foliate and hand carved floral motifs along base. The thimble is 23mm high with base diameter of about 16mm and gross weight of 4.9 grams of 14 karat yellow gold. Although apparently unmarked, this antique piece is most likely of German or Austrian origin. The base is also engraved with large gold monogram initials that contain a large letter “W” plus some other letters. The thimble is in a nearly perfect condition without any sort of cracks and shows only little signs of usage. Nice antique sewing jewelry collector piece and one of the nice Victorian era gold thimbles.
