Item description: * Exceptional vintage top Italian designer signed jewelry from the world known firm of Damiani. The present Damiani ring has a fantastic somewhat resembling and Art Deco or chessboard design with a sparkling mosaic of channel set articulating square cut emeralds and diamonds. The stones are placed in pairs having a total of 24 diamonds and 24 emeralds all being 2mm x 2mm each (0.04ct. per diamond and 0.03ct. per emerald) and thus having a total diamond weight of about 0.96-1.0 carats and total estimated emerald weight of about 0.75-0.80 carats. All emeralds possess a top untreated Colombian green color and quality, while all diamonds are of great E/F color and average VS1 clarity. Gross weight of ring is 7.8 grams of 18 karat yellow gold. The ring is signed Damiani in Italic script plus hallmarked with 750 for 18K yellow gold. Additionally there is a maker's mark with a star and 1481 AL. Ring size is 54/55, US size 7, UK size N/O. The name of Damiani is one of the top world’s jewelry brands along with Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, Tiffany & Co. and Bulgari. The ring is most likely a vintage 1980s or early 1990s piece and retail was said to be over $9,000. Scarce vintage jewelry / jewellery diamond and collector piece and one of the rare Damiani emerald rings and jewels.
