Item description: * See scan - perfect condition. This is a nice and rare antique Victorian era 14 karat yellow gold ring with a 2.5-3 carat natural Mosambique or Almandite Garnet centerpiece with flat face surface suitable to be engraved for a wax seal or family crest and Coat of Arms. On both sides of the ring are placed two sculptured sphynx figures of fairy winged lady goddesses with superb engraving and goldsmith work.
The whole ring is also decorated by engravings and floral motifs. The ring measures size 52 or UK size 'M' / US size 6 1/4. Net weight is 6 grams. The garnet is in oval form and is 12mm x 10mm and 3 or 4mm deep faceted very nicely towards its bottom.
Scarce antique jewelry / jewellery collector piece and one of the nice Victorian gold rings and family crest wax seal rings with Egyptian sphynx mythology motifs.
