Item description: * See scan - perfect condition. This is a nice and scarce Bulgarian Royal early 1880 - 1890 either Prince Alexander Batenberg or King Ferdinand horse crown order star. The star has a diameter of 115 mm and the middle is a red cloth with Hessen / Hesse type crown in center. The whole piece is gold plated / gilted. This type of star decoration had been used on the Royalty horse or at horses from the Royal personal escort. Severla highest ranking Royal Guard General also had similar type of stars. In some German States similar decorations are often refered to as SCHABRACKESTERN / SCHABRACKE STERN. Nice and scarce militaria / military collector piece and one of the nice Bulgarian orders and Army cavalry decorations.
